Are you Interested in volunteering with the City of Brampton? There are many ways you can get involved. You become eligible to volunteer with us when you​ ​turn ​14 years old. Depending on the volunteer opportunities that you are interested in, additional qualifications may apply.

Application Process:​

Applications for volunteer positions open on May 15 and close on May 31, 2025.

City of Brampton Volunteers are required to obtain and provide the Corporation with a satisfactory Level 2 or Level 3 Police Record Check. Due to forecasted processing time delays for police record checks, we suggest you try to obtain a record check prior to the application opening on April 24, 2025​. If you require an agency letter to support the police record check request, please email ​volunteers@brampton.ca.​

We have different roles at Brampton Animal Services that require volunteers!

If you would like to become a dog walker, cat socializer or small animal socializer, please visit the ​Animal Services Application ​to learn more about this program.

  • Current Bronze Medallion

  • Clean up parks and neighbourhoods in Brampton

  • Assists children learning dance
  • Outgoing, enjoys working with children, previous dance experience

  • Clean up of neighbourhood recreation centres

  • Clean up of fitness centres
  • Assist fitness staff as required

  • Assist child care staff as required
  • Assist children with activities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoys working with children of all ages
  • Responsible and reliable

  • Work with adults ages 55+
  • Choose from a wide variety of opportunities including, café, special events, programs, administration and more

  • Assist children learning to skate
  • Preliminary level figure skating skills or 5 years of hockey or powerskating experience

Vary depending on event, but we look for those who possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and patience

Work with those with special needs

Performing Arts Customer Experience Ambassadors are volunteers who welcome guests and meet access requirements, with customized services to create memorable experiences. They are passionate about building community, creating inclusive spaces, and fostering relationships with artists and audiences.   • Work with children/youth aged 6 to 14 years.
  • Must be energetic, creative and enjoy interacting with children and youth
